Default Cobra light bar passing light retainer.

I have a 97 Road king with Cobra light bar. One of the passing light (seal beam) bulbs has burned out. When I took the light fixture out of its housing I found the bulb is held in with a retainer clip. I can't figure out how to get it out.

It is very strong and I'm afraid I'll break the bulb if I try to pry it out.

The dimple in the housing rim over the left top of clip is where I bent the rim trying to remove the clip. It is not a factory dimple (just my mistake)
Any ideas? Name: Cobra light 2.jpg

Yep. I didn't do it buy my local HD store did it. I didn't realize that the two long ends were not a Loop. They are individual ends with little hooks on them. My dealer service dealer just squeezed them (one at a time) and off it came.

So YOU were correct. Thanks for the info.

I tried to squeeze them together but (at my age) that's hard to do with arthritic hands.

I'm very old, but not old enough to ride a trike. (My wife says I need one) so maybe sometime, down the road.

Thanks again to all.

Age?, you should have seen Sturgis #1.
