Davec433 is infamous around these parts
Default Salvage Bikes?

I've been thinking of buying a salvage bike for donor parts. But a lot of the salvage sites have horrible reviews. Any suggestions?

I would buy a good “project” bike that’s tore down or not finished before one the buzzards got ahold of.

Talk to your insurance agent and tell him to keep his eye out for a wrecked scooter. My buddy bought an '03 Heritage that way from the insurance company on the cheap about three years ago that was totaled due to a bent frame. The only thing wrong with it other than cosmetic dents, dings and scratches was the little gusset tab on the front of the frame that attaches the engine guard was bent. He has a total of about $4000.00 in it including repair parts and paint and it looks and runs like new.
