Default Rocket Bobs Dyna Frames

ok, this is a screen shot of the finished CAD drawing of our new frame. From here we get a CNC tube bender to pop them out and then they are jig'd up and welded together.

Materials are T45 steel and Stainless steel tubing. Headstock is 316 Stainless. Oil in frame is also an option plus a whole load of other doo dabs...

first frame will be finished by the end of November.

(ok sorry about the quality if the pi!)

Technically this accepts a Voodoo fender straight on so bags can be mounted off them

This is just a basic CAD model to tell the CNC where to bend the tubes. Cross braces, subframe etc can all be laser cut and welded up on assembly in the jig.

Will accept all stock Dyna parts , like the motor, so customers can order it with braces laser cut to their design. So at the neck, rear frame etc you can have spiders webs, stars, crosses etc.

The clever bit is DLC is so hard that you can weld it with zero color change. So as all braces would be laser cut from fat 316 plate, they could then be DLC coated before welding up!

So you got a stronger, lighter, cleaner frame that is custom built to your style and all your shit swaps straight onto it

Yup,, took a while as every process had to be jigged and we use three other Co's in the process now. So each stage has its own jig setup.

We now have tubes all done for three frames and they are on the final jig at our sheet metal workshops.

We have orders down there for swingarms and bars etc to fill. But the frames are lined up to be hit later this week/early next

As soon as we have one off the jig I'll post up ,,,,, hell I'll post it up everywhere

It is what it is.

We are putting together a frame that's entirely accurate to +/- 0.01mm.

Also the frames are as light as we can make them but also a lot stronger than stock.

Harley swingarms are built to +/- 5mm , let alone the frames which can be out by 10+ mm over the length

They also weight a frickin tonne.

There's no point putting these frames out til we have nailed it. These aren't like what you can buy out there. No other Co is doing a race level frame for Dynas. Put a stock Dyna lump in one of these and it'll go, handle & stop like a bastard.

The engineering behind it is extreme. That's why it takes so long to pull off as we don't have the money all in one go to throw at it.

Like everything we do, I'm trying to make the best product in the world, despite the fact that we are still a growing Co.

So how about, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FUCKNG INDI

I don't get it. Does that help with weight distro, balance? What would filling the down tubes do?

it means you can run a tiny sump on the dyna.

or no sump if you go all in frame.

there are options with the frames depending on what you want.

there are other factors, such as increased capacity etc

yep thats the deal,, the down tubes are also holed, laterally, that way they dont look obviously holed.

so they will act as coolers with a thermostat at the base of one leg
