Default AMFU

This1983 Harley Davidson FXE has been under wraps for more than a year and a half.
We are taking this to Sturgis to compete in the Modified Hagley class in the AMD World Championships.

The seat is mounted on bearings and attached to the single rail gussets but actuates on an internal spring running inside the seat tube. Here is a pic and the video of it working. This video was the first test of it working squeak and all .

Aye,, now that's in the spirit of the class,, there's phase at the moment for bolting on ever more expensive parts, slapping on trick paint and calling it "custom",,,

This, JC, is tits and is exactly what the class is about. You got my vote,, only I ain't there

Good way to fix it tigger but its fixed. There was a small Burr on the end of the spring causing the singing.
Continuing on.
We decided to stretch the swingarm bc we needed more room for the 18" wheel and the ability to create the drop seat. We are really happy with the way the drop came out. Here are pics of the stock frame and the dropped frame.

We decided to use a early round arm instead of the rectangle one. To do it right we built a fixture to hold the arm at it's stock length and at a length 2" longer.
Here are pics of the stretch.

Thanks everyone,
