Street Bob Flat
had a guy PM me on youtube about problems with his SB pulling 5th and wouldnt pull 6th at all,, i think the guy has a serious problem but after lengthy messages from him the only way to prove my point is to show him,, and its been a lot of fun and mebe now he will realise his aint normal!!
so if you want to watch a shaky outa control short vid of a Street Bob here ya go,, once off the clock in 5th i hit 6th ( you can just see the light come on) and from there the bike is way off the red and cruisin,, pretty impressive for a Harley, shows how far they have come and is a great testament to the 96" motor which is a real beaut

Do you know about SteadyCam? Google that, you'll get ideas.
For your application I would say that you have to eliminate several things. Do this experiment on your Jeep. Buy a coffee...do you like coffee?
Put it in the coffee holder then go around the traffic circle, and over a speed bump. See what happens? coffee all over the place. Now Buy another coffee, the other one is all over your Jeep's floor. Now hold the coffee in your hand and follow the same route...you see what happened? your arm acted as a counter weight, gyroscope, and balancer all at the same time. The steadycam works very much on the same principle. Slow down the rate of return. Your bike is transmiting the motion directly to the cam. My idea would be, to make a harness, attach it to your shoulders, and add a counter weight to the bottom directly under the cam to help stabilize it....

That's sort of what I had in mind for my set up, and if I still get shaking, I could incorporate a low rebound spring, to disipate the lenght of the return. If you mount your cam directly to the tank it turns into sprung weight, wich of course as you know, turns the weight of the cam into a directly proportinal manifestastion of every imperfection on the road.
