Was flying yesterday working my Air Support gig..thought I would share a little bit of time from my side of the aircraft! Sorry for the quality but I took them from my cell phone....

The pilot is my friend who was my trainee 20 years ago...came to me as a fledling and now look at him a Police Corporal & the Chief Pilot of our Air Support program! Makes me a proud papa!!


This shot here..we landed in the spreading ground juts east of the Rio Hondo River that runs through Montebello...we need to stretch out legs as we've been flying for about 1.2 hours by then. It was hot up in the aircraft...101 up in the air..118 on the tarmac





Our patrol beat is about 80 Sq. Mi., we are a regional Air Support Program containing 8 cities and fly 7-days a week with approx 16 hours of flight time per day. Normally field 2 airships a shift..Lead cities are El Monte PD, Baldwin Park PD & Montebello PD...cities contracting are Baldwin Park School PD, Monterey Park PD, West Covina PD, Irwindale PD and Azusa PD.
