Smart Siren Problems
Another problem I'm having is the alarm system, the alarm and the fobs work OK but the smart siren doesn't work right. If I plug it in while the alarm is on the siren goes off and won't stop. I disconnected the battery and hooked up the siren, and as soon as I connected the battery the siren went off.
Anyone have an Idea what might be happening here

Have you done any other wiring modifications to the trike? If so, disconnect them and see if the problem goes away. I'm thinking that if you have done any wiring in conjunction with your trailer hitch you might have crossed some wires or grounded something. If you have any LED's in the turn signal circuit they will often cause problems with the security system unless you install a load equalizer. If you install a load equalizer be careful where you locate it as they can become very hot!!! Also, don't use the warning flashers or turn signals for extended periods of time if you have a load equalizer installed. You don't need it if the LEDs are only in the Brake/Running light curcuit. There's a nice little site at www.triketalk.com that can help you with Tri-Glide problems. Several guys there are pretty tech savvy on all types of trikes. Tell them Greydog sent Ya!!!

Siren
Hi,
Thanks I'll check it out, as for the wireing on the hitch. It's all plug and play, and at this time I don't have any LED's in the system.

Smart Siren II
I realize that your Smart Siren problem is over a year old, and you probably got it fixed by now, but I had a similar problem, and here's what I discovered. When I traded my '09 Ultra for an '11 TG, I kept my Smart Siren II, and installed it on the TG. Same thing as yours. The siren took off and wouldn't stop whenever I turned the ignition on. I had to pull the battery out of the siren to make it stop. With some help from my dealer and HD, we learned that the bank angle sensor installed on all TG's and sidecar rigs causes this. HD makes a new Smart Siren for TG's and sidecars (Part number 69033-09), (see HD TT408: Siren and Smart Siren Operation, dated June 18, 2009). If you don't want to buy a new siren, there is a work around: Leave the trike in gear (and keep your hand off the clutch) when you turn the ignition on. Wait until the security light goes out, then you can return to neutral and start as you normally do. It's a bit of a pain at first, but becomes second nature after awhile, and I didn't have to give up my pager with a new siren. Hope this helps.
