One is in my future, but not to put the bike on, to pull behind the bike. A week and a half is to long on a bike with a wife on the back. You know all the crap they NEED to take.

Ditto here FLHT...looking to get a Bushtec, Trekker or Voyager with a Dauntless Hitch. When I get my 09 Ultra going to have to find a hitch that works with the wider rear end now.
Longest time on the road with the wife was 8-weeks when we rode to So. Carolina two years ago and spent some time around there. I had my Roadie loaded down and the bags and Tour-Pak were screamin!!! Trailers are invaluable!!

This is what I have been looking at.

Bushtech is a nice trailer for sure. But for the price I think this would do me just fine.

I have wondered the same thing. I do know trailers have been pulled around for a long time without the swivel.

We own a trailer. It hasn't been at our house in some time....seems everyone borrow it. We've used it twice. Once to go to Daytona (still snow on the ground here in March). And once to Myrtle Beach. We trailered 1/2 way and rode the rest for time reasons.
We are building a trailer to pull behind the bike right now. I found a frame on Craigs list for $150. That sitting in the garage right now. Planning on bolting a car cargo carrier to it for the luggage and putting a cooler rack on it. Then there will be some trailer left over where we could strap stuff to if needed. It was hard finding a hitch for a Dyna but found one at hitchdoc.
I'm also curious about the swivel cuppling. It's $150 I'd rather not spend but want it to be as safe as possible. We often go to the mountains to ride and I'm thinking it would be handy in the mountains.

I own 3 trailers for work, but none for a motorcycle. Wife recently suggested that I have one made to tow behind the RV this winter. Why would I want to tow my bike through ice and snow only to have it sitting next to me in Arizona for a week or two?
