Deseret Rider is infamous around these parts
Default Is there an Entrepeneur out there?

I am looking for an entrepeneur to buy my prototype Motorcycle Trailer and patentable design----and who would be interested in commercially producing them for profit. I, and my partner, a retired Air Force Officer, have designed a MC carrier with wishbone style axles and horizontal suspension that will lay the rail on the ground for loading and unloading---then jack itself up to carry position and down the road you go. There are many design features too numerous to mention here-----You can see pictures of the prototype at http://photobucket.com/Bikehauler These were taken before the fenders were installed to show off the $1000 set of BMW wheels and tires that are fitted ---adding a bit of class perhaps needed only on the prototype. The rear set wheels make the trailer track like a dream and easy to back up. Please email me at lynnandnancy@hotmail.com for further info---or to discuss detail not provided here. thanks. lynn

Hate to break it to ya, but this trailer is already being made. I'll have to search for the company name.

Good looking trailer !
Like CJ said, I've seen a trailer for sale in a bike mag that does just that.

C J Thank you for your reply---I would be interested to see the specs on that trailer if you run across the link again. Not having seen anything similar to my design I would be surprised to find identical design features ---not saying that it wouln't be possible. My trailer design could be adapted as a two bike hauler though the prototype is as a single with adjustable suspension. The method by which it lays it's rail on the ground for loading and then pulls itself up to lock itself in suspended tow position is, I think, a proprietary design which I would be shocked to find duplicated anywhere. The point of posting here would simply be to possibly find someone interested in building them commercially-----I have had such promising response to this design that I think it probable that it would sell well. It would also be very competitive in price and should produce excellent profit potential. It would require a minimal investment in equipment to produce. I am well 'over the hill' and think it might be an good business opportunity for a younger man. I am hoping to hear from anyone interested.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw it on Ebay when I was in the market for a trailer. They were wanting something like 4 grand. If I'm putting that much in a bike trailer, I'm gonna invest in an enclosed trailer. The one I saw dropped completely to the ground and was able to haul one or two bikes. Had a demo of a female loading a road king. I'll look for it.
