Old ride was a VTX1300R. Good bike, but not a great one like the R-Glide

I agree...I think the Road Glide is Harley Davidson best handling motorcycle...I still have my 03' 100th Anniversary Edition and will never get rid of it!

yeah...I had a 02 Fatboy all blinged out, lowered with 16" apes...mod engine work done on it (wish I could find some pics of it, won several trophies in local bike shows)....sold it just before I got my 09 Ultra.
I've ridden a slew of Dyna's, other softails, Road Kings...even 833/1200 Sporties...even a V-Rod for goodness sake.........My BUTT belongs on a bagger!!
(does my police motors count, or are they considered baggers?)

Believe it or not I had that VTX doing that for about 2 blocks one time(Slow Joe Wheel Stand) That said I also bet that I will NEVER have my Road Glide up on one wheel, not at $$27,000.00!!! I aint doin nuttin to hurt that thing! Those options add up too quick

Yeah the bagger war does continue...now I know both sides and the ideologies of each. I like my Night Train but I am loving my Street Glide.
I noticed that the majority of the UK riders hate baggers, perhaps their 12 mile NASCAR loop of an island they are on just doesn't necessitate a touring bike, just saying.
I'm sure glad to be back and infuse a little fun into this Bob filled forum.

The UK has a predominantly race based culture.
The only bagger riders are just off the short bus or given up on life!!
Heyyyyy waita minit, we DO have similarities then

All I got to say is damn! And I thought I could get my bike around. I guess I dont want to have to buy new boards every year cause I wore the old ones off from dragging them around all day

I do have to admit my RG is about 100times easier to do the slow tight turns than my VTX was. I can do a 360 in about 1 bike length at 1mph, the Honda would have thrown me over the bars, or dumped me on the ground! That thing did NOT want to stay up at slow speeds, lots of flop
