A Little Help Please
OK don't flame me but is there an easier way to check and fill the rear tire pressure on an 09 SG? I've got the HD gage with the flexible hose and the digital readout. find the only way I can accomplish this feat is to have the bike cold as I burned the hell out of my hand with the Rinehart muffler and the brake disc the first time I tired it. I also have to take off the right side bag which makes it a wee bit easier. Oh did I add I also lay on the ground(bad knees).

Uhhh guys, stay in your own areas! Perhaps someone with the same bike or actual knowledge of this can give an appropriate answer ...

Maybe something like this would help.
90 degree Schrader Valve Extension
It sounds like your not alone, removing one of the bags though !

Its a pain in the ass Leon. My tires do not get checked every ride like they say you should do. I just try to get the valve to the bottom and yes check cold. Thats when you should check tire pressure anyway.

So why you guys having problems??
Surely a flexy hose is easy just to clip on the valve stem and away you go

gotta admit i probably only check mine ever couple of months,, its the kinda thing you dont remember until you are riding off and then forget again as soon as your back
put a little white ( or in Mikes case black) blob on the tire so you know where the valve is and......
nope
hold on
bags would still get in the way
sorry,, thought i had it there

so you want to check you pressures and ya gotta find the valve then wheel the bike back enough to expose the 2" gap big enough to get a line to,,
only you wheel it just past, so you check it,, get back up, heave the bike forward a bit and then back onto your knees again to check it !!
holy chit
ya know guys, i do have a solution to this

Put the bike on the lift, spin the wheels wherever you need them .

when i ride with the wife, i always check. i agree, total pain in the butt, however, i wouldn't feel right if i put it down with the wife on the back, knowing it was a tire issue i could had prevented.

Asked a buddy today, who owns a fairly new Screamin Eagle E glide, and he has no trouble. His valve stem faces out the left side of his wheel.
I'm guessing yours does'nt

I don't like the right angle valves, they screw with balance and are easily broken.
My idea is a longer flexable valve, not the rigid straight up 1" type, then you guys can get the hose on in a greater variety of positions.
Some car valve stems are 2" & rubber. I'd fit one of these
