Rinehart or V&N Ovals
OK ...... so what are the plus and minuses of these. I was thinking of just slipons for either ---- SE stage 1 air ---- AND not sure if Power commander - race tuner - or fuelpak.
What would give me more sound and better performance ???? it is for my 2007 Road King .... I know I'm not the first to ask this question -- but it's my first upgrade and trying get it right. Not sure I will be doing to much more that this other than adding some shine later on.
thanks for the tips.

currently looking at slip ons --- V&H ovals or rinehart (maybe true duals) SE stage 1 and not sure if fuel pak - race tuner - or power commander.
Seeme that alot of riders use the PCIII.

Ovals sound good, My brother has them. Rineharts sound better, I have them.
The Rines will give you a lower tone. I have heard some problems with Rineharts duals.
I converted my stock pipes with a Fullsac head pipe conversion and it has worked out great. You really need to go true duals to get the best sound and flow out of both sides.
I also use the PCIII. Never have gotten to mess with the PCV. If this is the tuner you decide on I can turn you on to a place that will pre MAP it for you to your system and you will be ready to rock.

Thanks for the info ..... I too like the sound of the Rines .... But have been told that the V&Ns wou d provide an overall good sound and performance ----- what is your take on that.
Not sure that I have the funds to go all out yet with the a fullsac conversion

The Ovals sound good, just quite as throaty as the Rines. Performance I would say is about the same. Thats the thing with the Fullsac. Its not that much money and you can do it later if you want.

Rines are the quailty option IMO.
and the PCV is a retro fit despite what Dynojet say, by the way. They stated 09+ in their launch BS to protect the stocks of PCIIIs already held by dealers.
So TTS is an option but I'm thinking og getting a PCV.

I Think I got it
Alright .... I think i get it figured out ... I am getting the Rineharts Slip-ons -- SE Stage 1 Air kit --- and PCIII
I think this should give me the sound and performance I'm looking for, for now ... and with room to grow as timne goes on.
comments welcomed

Good choice. Contact Jamie at Fuel Motto and he can hook you up with your Air cleaner and your PCIII and he will preload the map you need for the setup.

i got lucky and scored my first set of vance and hines slip ons for 50$ from a tech at my local harley.. never hurts to swing-by and see if they got any used ones in the back.. otherwise sounds like your average price for slip-ons i googled and first hit i got showed up for 460$ so it sounds like thats a good price youve found.. (unless you find them used on ebay)
