Default Speaking of mods

nothing drastic, subtle stuff:

Front turns

Rear turns (if you can spot 'em.)

Relocated speedo. Tach will go on with the double mount soon.

Air cleaner is the NRHS forward mount cause it uses a larger element (K&N). No restriction to speak of. Breather setup is Drag Specialties.

Exhaust is from Cycle Shack.

Stuff you can't see: 29 teeth on the front sprocket, rejetting of course, ignition setup (other than the bright yellow coil and wires).

I know, I know, 'chrome won't get you home is the mantra' but I disagree to some extent. Seems to me that if you spend a bit of time polishing you're likely to see something mechanical that needs attention.

Next week it goes on the dyno just for grins. An 883 that will pull, comfortably, a 29 tooth sprocket is my desire. Eventually it will go to 1200 but that's down the road after I've gotten more used to it.

By the way, his name is:

The Reverend Mister Black.

Thank you for the kind words fellers.

I forgot to mention the Progressive Suspension springs in the forks. I can't WAIT to try those out. The forks were 'flakey' going into and coming out of a corner until they compressed a lot, once they got down about halfway they were fine but the bike didn't like the first bit of travel in the least.

I'm a go around corners kind of guy rather than a go down the highway at 70 (112 kph) kind of guy. Me likey corners jannow.

Who'd a thunk I'd be doing this with a Harley Davidson.

Thats one worthwhile mod ... did the same to my XL 1200R when I had it,improved the ride a lot and no more kissin' the tarmac under heavy breaking

Exactly right Rick, good point. It will stay UP now I'd think.

I just ordered the Progressive Suspension rear shocks too.

DAMN I wish the snow would stop.

Thanks Bos, but the fronts have been in for some while. Pretty simple stuff.

This thing is actually starting to come along now.

I did'nt lower the front with the springs I put in,they were just progressive springs to stop the Sporty diving and stiffen it up,wanted to keep the original hight and ground clearance...did the job

Yep Bandit, that's presactly what I did with mine. Just the springs, no lowering.

Thanks for the kind words Mike. I do hope you get another scooter soon.
