carbs and mountains
Me and the OL are planning a trip to Colorado next summer. 18 days of nothing but riding, most of it spent in Colorado, but finishing up at the Grand Canyon and then back to Kansas. How's a carbed sporty going to handle the mountains? We're planning on Mt Evans and Pikes Peak for sure, but how do carbed scoots handle 10k plus elevations?

LMAO! It will be getting either a new seat or I'll send the stock one to Mean City to get re-worked way before the trip. So far the trip is going to be just over 3k miles, we can't wait!!

Yup substitute small tent and sleeping bag for fishing gear, I'm not much of a fisherman, lol. Probably 3-4 days worth of clothes, hit laundry-mats as needed. I'm very fortunate that my wife is what I would call low maintenance, doesn't need/want make-up or tons of hair care stuff, so we're both light travelers. If we can't fit it into the saddle bags, t-bag, and possibly tank bag, then we don't need it. We did a mini version last year, spent 5 days riding in Arkansas on my metric with just a t-bag and had a blast. Although we did have a base camp at a cheap cabin, cabin's aren't so cheap in Colorado so we'll mix tenting with motels to save some cash.

Nope. I haven't been to Colorado since I was a kid and my wife has never seen the Rockies. Can't think of a better way to see the Rockies than from a bike.

Its fantastic on a bike. But a word of warning. It gets hot and it can get very cold in the same day and it will probably storm around 5.
You just really need to be ready for what the Rockies can throw at you or it can kinda spoil a good trip.
My wife and I, and My Brother and his wife plan on spending a week there this next summer also.

Well ya havent said for sure your coming yet.
But yeah Black. Peat and Lisa also, if they make it over here. Which I truly hope they do.
But they will need a different scoot or Lisa would be running along side and they would be freezing they asses off cuz they cant carry anything
