Amsoil MCV is the nuts.
Have always run Mobil1 in my Jeep and I got 200k on it with still no burning oil etc etc.
But for HD, air cooled big twin, I'd go for an oil targeted directly at the spcific requirements of that motor.
Getting on for 20k now with some harsh treatment every now and then. Motor is still nice and firm, with zero oil consumption between changes.
Would never use anything else.

I'm the dinosaur, Crockett. I use conventional HD 20w-50. I figure it's a 1947 engine design. I do change crankcase, primary and transmission at double recommended intervals, however. She runs cool and quiet.

Oh, now you want brilliantly deduced logic and advanced technology all compressed into word-bytes? I didn't make no stinkin' promises.

Well you argued that as the motor has a clearly traceable lineage back a few decades we should therefore ignore all the advances in oil technology, that have led to massively increased engine life and performance, and stick in some crud from 64 million years ago.
Back when I was a mudskipper, I'd run on tubeworms!
