Help..OR Disc cutter :)
Converting from forwards to mids on my XL883C to fit a 883R exhaust, HOWEVER wonder about the PEG bars sticking out from the front motor mounts (the are in the way and must be removed).
Seen on the backside of the mounts that there is a lock ring. Removed the lock ring and tried to remove the bars. But they are stuck (probably pressed in)?
Any removal tip before I cut them off with a disc cutter??
PICS:
/Paul

all you can do is remove the C clip and then try to drift them out,, best bet would be to get a torch on the plate first then drift out with a good weight lump hammer and a fat bar
but IMO,, cut the fckers off ..
i just bought a massive disc cutter

Well RATS then. I had the same problem with my forwards on the Sporty I bought.
They both unscrewed though, finally. Copious amounts of heat and 'Thrust' penetrating oil.
I sold them puppies on eslay for a TON too.
