Default Metzeler 260/40 fat bastard mofo pig
Got a Rocker in for the 260 Metz and a fender to suit.

This is a very cool tire from Metzeler, it fits the 8.5" OEM rim better than the Dumplot and its very wide !

have had to make an all new fender for it. However i dig it so much that this is how they are all going to be now for Rockers. Its 10.5" at the base and narrows to 10" at the tip. Its all steel welded and i am back to hand shaping the fenders again, which i prefer.

here are a couple of iphone temp shots of how it looked in mockup. will post pix here of it finished in a week or so,, but in the mean time i hand this thread over to the usual pirates for their own guilty pleasure

its a mockup,, the welds down the sides are all filler,, i was bridging up to 10mm gap!

look and the first strut bend/weld,, thats MIG'n good welding right there

It's not narrow it's huge, it measures over 260! & yeah it goes straight on. The Rocker has a much wider frame & swingarm than ya standard softy.

This new fender wraps the tire better & will hug it much tighter. In the pic the bike is lifted on it's adjustable shocks, it will be dropped back down after I'm done figuring it out.

ive been told that Metzeler made that tire for the Rocker,, but its prolly BS..

however,, today we got commisioned to build a complete Rocker,, as in tear the thing down and do a full build, everything, inc motor & finally front end etc..

the biggest customer build to date..

this job just gets better and better
