I wouldn't worry too much as the mfg have it pretty well planned out. Doesn't matter the situation, people want to mod whatever they have into whatever they don't have.
They deliver it black, people want to chrome it. They deliver it chromed, folks want to black it out. Adding chrome or blacking out, there is only so far one can go.
They deliver slammed, it gets raised. "normal", it gets slammed.
2up seat gets soloed. Soloed gets a p-pad. Pintail gets a ... well, pintail just gets a sore ass ... but I digress ...
See, people just wanna mod into something different. It is the eternal quest that always comes back full circle.

Im just saying that they are able to cut costs and charge more. And its the fads that enable them to do that.

Just going full circle Bud. Back from a time past that there was no chrome on them.
But HD does it with all their line. Why does the Streetglide cost more than the EG Classic.
Same bike, less stuff. Streetglide is popular so they jack the price.

Dunno man,, the SG looks hotter,, mebe it's got better features , ya know.
If you look at the "48" , "street bob", "fatboy low" & even the new WG (&hopefully the new Train nxt year) then ya gotta hope that this new found taste & style will mean they quit making baggers anyway
