nearly time to take the Rocker back

will post up pix this week of the finished build, its nothing like the Oxford HD version as this one just has a Rocket fender, seat, sidemount ,, not lowered, no other powder/paint,, nothing...

but still a great scoot,, seriously love them...

so for now here is a couple of shots of how the fenders are made. 12 separate pieces go into a fender, bolted to the jig and then clamped into position before welding.

Jigging up, measuring and clamping takes about an hour and then its about 30 minutes of solid welding.....

used 3mm sheet to build a full on mock up and then boxed it in to weld on the jig, so all dims are bang on..

there is nothing like the feeling of welding something like that up for the first time and then trying it on the bike

heart stopping...

The Voodoo one is actually more complex, the angles and relationship between all the pieces that i drew up make it a fckin headache to get to this stage..

BUT, now i can build 5 fenders in a day easy and have them in paint the next day..

so pretty soon i will be on top of this workload

that is so bitchin... do you have a walk in shop or are you online only?
dont want to hijack but i remember seeing a frame for your pintail, what do you "wrap" those badboys in? fiberglass or something of the sorts? that gloss black pintail turns me on quite a bit you might be gettin an order from me sometime.

yep,, they are made from a 3mm sheet skeleton and the glass is then laid on for the shape,, each one takes a total of about a week to make..

that gloss black one is nuts, the paint just looks wet, never seen a black like it
