Chaps or Leather Pants?
So I live in NorCal, and for the most part other than the fog and an occassional storm we ride year round. I have put off buying chaps or leather pants because well , I am a girl w/a few extra curves and always putting off due to the neverending battle of the bulge...but this year I need to buy something, recently my knees were wet and it wasn't from being on my knees! it was very foggy in the Valley one day. What do you gals reccommend? Chaps or full on leather britches.
Thanks !

:pBeing the SHE Devil I am- I will just buy both! And whatever my MOOD happens to be that day is what I shall wear! I am sure either one will do just fine should I find my knees gettin a little "dirty or wet", hahha...

I find that chaps work well because they're easy on and off it you going in to eat or somewhere it wouldn't be appropriate to wear them. Leather pants are there for the duration. JMO.

All joking aside, that's the reason I have chaps. Easy on, easy off!

I bought a pair of lined leather jeans style pants. They're warm but it's a bitch gettin' on and off the scooter. I'm thinkin' about cuttin' the liner out so I can just wear them over my jeans as the legs have full length zippers on the sides. Then I can take them on and off as needed.

Too Funny
I do have a nice ass- and a girl wants to look good when she is riding....so if you think the chaps are the way to go...easy on easy off, so far most have voted for chaps...I will ask Santa to bring me some sexy chaps!
I have used my girlish ways to get through traffic a few times, so I think chaps can only further benefit in times of need too! haha, too funny!
thanks for all the advice! A girl likes to know what her man might like too!

I am sure when I speak on behalf of all the guys here, chaps over jeans are only the second sexiest thing on this planet, right next to the first sexiest thing on the planet, chaps over a bikini.......

If you value that shaply bottom, leather pants are the answer. They make them easy on/off.
For protective gear (not that kind!), check this out. http://joerocket.com/
I've gone heavy into the protective, practical riding gear since getting the Harley version of a touring crotch rocket. And, yes, I'm wearing a full-face helmet full time riding. But, then, I'm more on the handy side than the handsome.
You can beat yourself up pretty good hitting the pavement at 70 mph. Get some gear.

Look at www.foxcreekleather.com
They make your chaps for you. 1 call to their 800 # and you will get a custom fit! Prices are the same or less than Harley and the leather is better IMHO!!
I have bought 2 pair of Chaps, 2 - Jackets and a Vest from them. IF you need to see them, look for their show schedule!
I love them. When you get them, whoever you buy, post some photos for my "professional" opinion.

I'm thinking there has been alot of input on this thread. Many of you have really shared quality info, with that said I think whatever the fine lass chooses we should at a minimum get a pic of her selction once she gets it. Not be being pushy here, just plainly stating the obvious, especially considering that HarleyGirl already bragged about her fine backside.
Sadly someone else must pick up where Peeps has failed to share.
