Don't sweat it Peeps, I like you just as you are...a mystery biker chick with a good sense of humor. (Did I kiss up too much guys?)

chaps
This might be a late response, but after seeing ODDJOB'S pics I vote for the chaps also. If you want just for your knee's, there is a web site called Eagle Leather that has half chaps that go from your shoe to just above the knee. You still have to wear pants with them or it gets really cold. lol

who are we advising to wear pants, Reaper? Let's just leave these ladies to their own judgement.

Probably late but I own both Chaps and the FXRG full leather pants.
Some thoughts:
Chaps are good to < 50 degrees 99% of the time (yeah I'm a CA girl)
Chaps are more forgiving of weight gain and loss
Pants...are very unforgiving of weight changes
pants are really nice for colder temps
FXRG are completely waterproof...oh and snow proof (been there done that)
I'm glad I have both but I really use the chaps way more. If your not going to "Tour" then I'd just stick with chaps.

If you are more interested in riding comfortably then run down to your local Wal-Mart and invest in a pair of Blizzards. They are store brand Carhartts jump suits or bib overalls. They are insulated, water proof, and very warm. Wife (who rides her own) has leather pants and chaps, but prefers the Blizzards. Very comfortable, very warm, and come off pretty easily when we get where we are going. If you are more interested in showing off your ass, get either of the leathers, you just may look a bit silly walking around in 90* weather in leathers......at least to other bikers, RUBs love it.

What about when the weather warms up?? Chaps can be folded up and stuffed in the bag, with leather pants, you are stuck.

Chaps
From a mans point of view, and living in the North East. I would say the chaps....If it warms up you can peel them off and still have clean knees.
