Mine didn't look this good but I had one of these for a first bike...couldn't set both feet on the ground at stop lights.
I rode that thing until it was puking oil out the exhaust and then I rode it a bit more.

Yeah...I was about 27 years old there. That photo was taken in May, 1972, at Forrestal Village in Great Lakes. I was a Chief in the Navy and worked a part time job as a janitor at a local Junior College from 10PM at night til 2AM in the morning to get the money to buy that little scooter. I rode it from North Chicago to Gallipolis, Ohio....wide friggin' open most of the time..and melted the tops out of both pistons. She'd run about 70mph, wide open, down hill!!!

first ride
People thought i was ... I had never riden in my life and i went out and bought a 1995 Honda Shadow 1100 A.C.E -- It was Black and Red with beach bars. Man i loved that thing.
had to get rid of it when i got back with the wife -- BUT it wasn't until we made the deal --- I get rid of it only if I can get a Harley when i retired from the Corps. she agreed - I sold it --later retired -- now I ride what you see.
