Pete "SK8ROD" Petersen and his lovely wife Lisa arrived at LAX at 1422hrs via American Airlines, flight #137. My buddy John "Borracho" Hernandez (LAX Police Dept. Motors), a future HDRIDERSUSA member and Choir Boy, assisted me in locating Pete & Lisa at LAX. Here are some pics of the meet and greet!!!

SK8 is racing in a marathon on Sunday December 7th in Las Vegas...I hope I didn't jinx him or anything being that the race is on Pearl Harbor Memorial Day

naw...he was fine...they are REALLY GREAT PEEPS!!!!! Lisa is "ACES" as Pete would say...I say ADORABLE!!!! Had such a great time with them!!!! Going to have a great time at the party on Tuesday!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

ohhhhhhhh........by the way, I told SK8 about more people signing up during his absence...i thought he was going to faint caused he laughed so hard!!

Yeah, I hadnt mentioned that to him. He was texting me when he was at the airport but didnt say anything about that.

...but with the "climate" at LAX (and other airports) being what it is today...some photographer would have taken a pic and sold it as police harassment or something...remember the City of LA is known for a bunch of fruits & nuts..someone would have made something out of nothing and we would have been the front page news on the L.A. Times!!!

SK8 running the las Vegas Marathon December 7th, Sunday... here's the link http://www.lvmarathon.com

after the marathon, on Monday they're driving to Calif and picking up his headlamp assembly at Jokers Machine....then he's at DAX's house till Thursday, where they will head back to Las Vegas for the remainder of their vacation. Wednesday we have plans on showing them around LA and some of the tourist stuff

You going to run him and Lisa down to TJ for some of Mexico's finest shopping experience?

BTW, are the grunnion running in the winter? Sk8 would dig that I am sure, we use to do that around Bolsa Chica (SP?) and Seal Beach during the summers I spent with my aunt in Downey.

Happy Pete and Lisa had a great trip and an uneventful landing, make sure she knows we all think the world of her for putting up with the limey!!
On a different note, Pete's last name is Pearson, ain't it? or maybe he changed his last name, cause he sure looks like he's hidding something there in them pictures!!

I just talked to Pete on the phone a bit ago. Things are going good and he says the weather is ace. Lisa asked if there were pics post with her in it and when I told them yes I could hear in the background..........

That's too bad. That would have made me REALLY mad, A mod reunion, and not beign there!!!

I have enough airmiles to fly there free, but I promised Barb a trip somewhere in January, ( so I don't have to fight too much when I say...." I am going to Sturgis for 2 weeks honey". Plus if I use my credits to go to LA right now, I prolly couldn't go to Sturgis.

It is just reality. I don't really know how Skate does it. Buys what he wants, travels, rides all the time seemingly at will, and she's OK with that!!! A real keeper she is!!!

naw..she was a good sport!! SK8 found a jewel when he found Lisa..she is so sweet, soft spoken and lady in every sense of the word! I think at first when she saw John and I standing at the reception area she might have been a little intimated due to John being in uniform..but after a few minutes she was in the swing of things!!
