When they first invented the clock, how did they know what time it was to set it to?

Wow OJ, you are asking the questions we all want to know the answers to, but didn't even know that we wanted to know. Ya know? And we have the burning bush himself to riddle us more puzzles ... mind bending ....

i'm not sure if you're trying to challenge me or you're just that simple minded ...
the first clock was a rock surrounded by sticks. the sticks didn't serve any purpose other than to remind those walking by not to step on the rock and thus disturb international time. smaller rocks were used in neighboring villages, but they had to be synchronized with this main rock at the beginning of each day. as villages grew further from the main rock, different shapes were used to signify the physical distance from 'real time'. ok, i'm rambling, i don't have a fcking clue nor do i care - it's almost time for oprah.

Dear Joker....
Why do tourists go to the top of tall buildings and then put money in telescopes so they can see things on the ground in close-up?

Yikes, I'm keeping my distance from Mr. Pinky ...
Which leads me to keep this all-knowing thread on track.
Joker, why do 'certain' people always hijack threads? Does it have to do with what they ride, or something more dark and sinister?
