Used to watch Jaques on the Vancouver streets in his early days of Indy racing, before he went to F1.
Never forget his first time on the track. We sat in a grandstand at the end of the only long straight. the straight fed into a long sweeping right hander, followed imediately with a right hairpin. By about 7 or 8 laps into the first practice session of the weekend, Jaques was still holding the go pedal to the mat, easilly 70 yards deeper into the sweeper than the next quickest driver! ( either Micheal Andretti, or my favorite Paul Tracy).
He went on to get pole at over a second faster than his closest competeter, then absolutely ran away with the race.

yeah he was my favourite driver for years,, a total natural and mind blowing to watch,, as opposed to shumey who just seemed to get the job done but never really blew you away.. thats why i like Kimi,, hes just a frickin animal and totally natural talent.. plus he is nig into HDs

Been gettin some good riding weather you lucky dog? It's been absolutely miserable here today. Wife and baby Lilly is up the lake, ( anual girls weekend ) so I've just been sitting watching telly, and racking up my post count .

Actually, I rode for about one hour this morn, then I got caught in the rain on the way home. I don't mind the rain, but cleaning your bike afterwards is a beotch!.Also I have to be careful with wifey! she's glued to the stupid box right now. Since she caught me ogling HB's pic, she's all over my computer ass evey time I seat in front of it.

Hope all my friends here have a great Monday. No riding for me today...gotta start prepping for a Colonoscopy tomorrow so I won't be very far from the crapper . I have to drink about a half gallon of this stuff called Half Lytely....They should have called it "Go Quickly"!!.....(and often)!! On a more serious note, if any of you are over 50 years old and have never had one I strongly advise you to do so. My GF kept pinging on me to have one so last June I did just to pacify her. Turns out I had 6 polyps removed, 4 of which were potentially cancerous. Never had any symptoms whatsoever and thought it would be a waste of time....Just goes to show......
