So I have to wear slippers to work because of my fckin feet being swelled up. Anyhow I took a Hindenberg sized dump earlier today and when I went to flush the toilet (using my foot to hit the handle) my slipper came off and damn near went into the toilet...WTF!  |

i rode for a bit today. got caught in a heavy downpour. sometimes when it gets like this i think about getting rain gear, but then the next day its 80 degrees and i forget all about it.

So there I was, riding my Police FLH in downtown LA the other day when all of a sudden I smell a distinct and strong smell of something burning.
So, being the inquisitive guy that I am, I start looking at all of the old delapitated buildings for a raging fire and a damsel in distress to rescue but cannot locate the source of the burning smell. I ride around a few blocks and eventually pass a movie shoot on a crowded downtown street so I figure the burning is from the movie set and shrug it off.
A few blocks later I'm stopped at a red light when I smell the burning again, but this time I also feel a distinct HOT feeling under my right thigh area more than the normal heat generated from the right side exhaust. So I look down with the normal I'm cool don't give a damn motorcop look and OH SHIT, I"M ON FIRE ............
You see, I had placed a folded up piece of newspaper in my empty radar holder that's located on the right side in front of the saddlebag, and the excessive heat generated from the exhaust caused the paper to ignite........
SOOO, I grab the paper with my gloved right hand and began waving it around trying to put out the raging inferno I was holding, but it keeps on burnin. I then start smacking it against the right saddlebag guard trying to extinguish the flames but as soon as one part of the fire would go out, another part of the paper would flame up so I grab it between my hands and try to snuff it out by patting it between my gloves.
Now I have a smoking ball of burnt up newspaper in my hand when I look to my right and see a few of LA's finest citizens standing on the sidewalk looking at me with the most astonished, frozen blank stares and not saying a word.
Without missing a beat I look at them, point up the street and tell them it's part of the movie shoot as I ride away laughing my ass off.
Fortunately for me, the uniform I wear is a Military Spec BDU which has some type of fire retardant quality so it singed the underside of my thigh but didn't burn through the pants. Burned the right side cover and radar holder as well as leaving a nasty black burn mark on the rear downpipe exhaust cover....AND, I smelled like a piece of burnt wood for the whole day.
So, thats how I lit myself on fire....I still cant tell the story without laughing until i'm out of breath. WTF!!!
