Default Web site is finally up.

For those bored out of their skulls, here's what I do when I'm not riding.

We have an 850 sq ft addition which we will be beginning this summer. In that will be a new master bathroom and we really like those glass blocks like your website shows. Do you have any professional advice on what glass blocks are best? Things to look out for etc.?

Pricewise, Pittsburg-Corning Decora's. About $4.00 each for an 8x8 here. After those, prices go up dramatically. Don't use the silicone installation kit - the silicone is odor masked, but still will kill you in an enclosed environment. The space they go in has to be evenly divisible by 8 or whatever size block you're using. Use a level on all planes as they will tend to get away from you and bow as you go up. Mixing the mortar is another key - too thin and they sag, too thick=no stick. Wear gloves! The lime content will eat your skin in minutes. If you're in a hurry, you're doing the wrong project.
The spacer kits suck - again, a proper mortar consistency is all you need. Not much different than laying bricks.

I think we planned to use a contractor on some of the work, perhaps this is better suited for those folks. Thanks for the info on which blocks to use though, we want something that looks good and will last over the years.

Both of our current bathrooms have custom tiling and it is easy to clean but the maintenance every two years or so is a pain in the ass. When the wife even mentions re-grout I feel the urge to choke the nearest person.
