Question Throtttle going fully open

Hi All first thank you for the welcome to this site.
The main reason for joining this group is that I need your help.
last Sunday 27 Oct 2019 me and the wife were on a group ride it was a cold damp morning.
My wife has a 2019 Street bob, she is our local chapter Ladies of Harley Officer and has been riding for a few years now and is on her 3rd Harley she is a very competent rider.
Anyway as we were pulling into some services to meet some fellow riders she was making a right turn at slow speed when all of a sudden the bike went to full throttle and launched her like a bullet into a bush and a sign throwing her 10 ft into the air and over a flower bed and landed on a kerbstone which resulted in her breaking her back. luckily she has no Nerve damage and will hopefully in time make a full recovery.
The help I need is there anyone out there know or have heard of this happening to these fly by wire throttles before.
I know of them shutting down and going into limp home mode and I have read on a couple of other forums that this has happened before but Harley says our problem cannot happen.

I am trying to obtain as much evidence as possible for our insurance claim and to prove to the doubters that it wasn't her fault, I know it wasn't her fault I was behind her and on coms saw and heard everything

Many thanks for even for taking time to read this.

Mate , i've been on this site for a while and been riding Harley's way before all this electronic stuff and I can honestly say that I have never heard of the fly by wire going to full throttle by itself. Has your wife's bike still got the standard handle bars fitted ? Sorry to hear about her prang, hope she makes a full recovery and get's back on her bike soon
If I die riding at least i'll die free
