Hello from Korea
Hello everybody,
I'm Mike (50 years) from Germany and do live with my family since 7 years in Korea. I'm riding Bikes since more than 30 years (the last 20 years Harley).
I came across this forum by surfing through the net and was right away impressed by the nice tone and helpful comments and the always good detailed pictures.
The last 5 years I rode my Sportster in Korea, but shipped it back to Germany last year, since I wanted to use it more on the open road . Luckily I got permission of my wife to by another ride for Korea, so I bought recently a 2008 Street Bob (stock) with 2000 miles only. Its a very nice ride, however I'm old school and the EFI is still strange to me. Besides my 91 Sportster, I have a 91 Fat-Boy, which are in my opinion (due to the carburator) the more real things
However, we have to deal with the future
Please see enclosed some pics. Sportster and FB are in Germany, the FB was equipped with a side car 2 years ago. Very smooth riding, but totally different character now.
I modified the Street Bob so far a bit, since the original sound really sucks and the airfilter had to go anyway, since it blocks the view on the nice V-twin.
Looking forward to some nice exchanges and some good inspiration here in the forum.
Ride safe,
best regards from the land of the morning calm
Mike
PS: sorry for the bad pick from the Street Bob, I will make better once, when the rain stops

Welcome. I second that the fat boy is the best. Realy love it. I'd get one just to let the wife ride and I'd sleep or is it drink.

Thanks for welcome
Hi guys,
thanks for the nice welcome
I did not expect that the side car issue would start such nice posts
In order to relax all of you , I should inform you that the design/construction of the side car is well different from the stock HD-side cars. In less than one hour, I can switch to a solo Fat Boy and vice versa. Besides a steering damper underneath the tripple tree (useful anyhow), there is no lasting modification on the bike itself. Rake, wheels etc. everything as before. Electric and brake is with quick lock. Just a few bolts and brackets and the Fat Boy looks as before.
Besides, riding with the side car, whether your do left or right turns is pretty nice. The handling is pretty sturdy.
Below some pics without the side car and one more from the back.
Keep the comments coming, its good fun
Ride safe
Mike
