Another newbie to the group...
and even from upper neu yawk (NO WHERE NEAR THE CITY, thank gawd...)
Next to Rochester (hey Ron)...
46th year in bikes, back to my Harley roots you see. Stole an 03, 883 with 2030 miles on it.
It's coming around to my way of thinking.

Wouldnt it just suck to think you had a buffer in your hand but in reality it was a DC

Well then. I'm curious.
Just what IS a 'dc'? Maybe I'll make sure my grinding or cutoff wheels don't fit my buffer.
Jannow?

heh ... DC = disc cutter (for those across the pond)
here we simply call it a grinder.

You mean a disco cutter. One 'o dese things. You plugs it in and it 'polishes' the metal off.
Got it.

Magic?
Actually, the output shaft is threaded and the wheel screws on. It's a Craftsman, they do things different sometimes.

Yep, it's for newbies.
The output shaft locks and me tightens the wheel down mit der 7/8 (23mm) endwrench.
I've only had it for about 15 years as I recall. I should get used to it just about any time now I'd bet.
Now if I could just learn how to work on stuff like real people.
