EVO pushrods
Any thoughts on Aluminum vs chrome-moly pushrods?
Looking at a package deal on flea-bay, and the included rods are Maddog aluminum timesaver adjustables.
Cheers... Ben.

Update.... These rods just seemed too cheap ($59.00 US from the manufacturer) to take a chance on.
Ordered a Andrews EV27 camshaft & V-Thunder chromemoly timesaver pushrods .

Little rant here ! HD started making their evo camshafts .050" longer in about '88 or so, and continued making them that length until the evo went out of production around 2000.
Andrews, continued making their cams in the shorter length, and explain in the instructions that you will need a .050 shim spacer ( hardened steel washer ).
For the $$ they charge for a 6" long camshaft, you'd think they could throw in about a 50 cent washer! . Or mabe go all out, and include a .045, .050, and a .055, so you can set the end play where you want it!!
The reason I'm pissed is none of the HD dealers around have these parts, and who the hell wants to cross border shop for a 50 cent part !
GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

ok, so I order it from the local Suzuki dealer ( only bike shop in town, but he has access to all Drag Specialties parts )
Most expensive washers in history ! Cant buy them individually, they come in a package of 5, for each size. So even though it should never wear out,,,, you got 4 spares ! $37.00 cad for 5 fricken washers!

Well, just punched the new EV 27 cam into this
http://www.bigboyzcycles.com/EVOComp.htm compression calculator.
Dropped my CR from 8.27 to 1, to 7.76 to 1 . Looks like shaved heads, or new pistons are next on the to-do list !
