peanut stand in . . . .
so i am waiting for Bankrobber's paint to be re-done,, all i got spare in the shop is a bone stock twinky dyna tank and a sporty peanut tank i won in London,,
put the peanut on the Shovel and its too big,, makes the scoot look leaden and ,, well shit..
so even tho this is just a temp tank for a few days, i figured i would do a little work on it as all day i was welding Carls Bob and needed to let things cool every now and then
i took a wedge out the sides, starting 2" at the front and tapering to 1" from the back edge.
then plated in the base with the shallow tunnel left in.
next up is a notch on the RHS and a rear, horizontal gas tap mount.. then a front hidden mount and rear tongue mount and its on,, and hopefully Carls bike is also finished !!
this is it so far,, ill post it when its on and finished

LMFAO
Oh and the finish is done using a Metabo variable speed DC running a red scotch 125mm Velcro pad. That's after you hit it flat out with a 120 grit disc to remove the draw marks

Yep when I can't afford a Metabo on a specific tool need I get a Makita. They got to be the best of the also rans.....
But Metabo is the last word! They make grinders etc that the others Co's simply can't. The one I got of theirs is the only one like it out there. The speed range for a 4.5 is unmatched. Plus they just never fail & can run all day.
The bur grinder I got on the flexi lead is un stoppable and how windowed the Shovel. There is nothing comparable on the market.
