Good question!! The early birds will get promoted early for sure and will be the ones I turn to as we get busy. When we get rocking we'll need some moderators etc ...
I'm trying to come up with decent titles for number of posts.
Currently everyone starts out as a Slacker, then with 10 posts moves to Senior Slacker, the with 50 moves to Super Slacker and over 100 is Not A Slacker!
If anyone has better titles, present them in the site feedback thread and they will be duly considered! -- Dax

Good Site
Dax, it's nice. "Slacker" may be accurate, albeit, not too complimentary. I think the ranks should express more diversity. Like start at "Turd" and work your way up to "Felicitator General."

Well, at least I see you've made it to SENIOR Slacker ... congrats ... and I don't mean that in a non-complimentary way!!

Dax...if I'm not supposed to say that just edit or let me know. Still not sure what the boundaries are in your house.

Raleigh isn't too bad. I've lived here for 27 years so it's changed a lot for me. Some for the better but a lot for the worse. Overall it's still a great area and people must love it because they move here in droves. Rock Hill is a great area, we used to have an office in Charlotte and a lot of employees lived in Rock Hill because the cost of living was so much lower from housing to gas tax. I can't blame you from wanting to get out of So. Cal! Once you get this way give me a shout and I'll buy ya beer.

Just a funny for fortbriscoe!! He suggested Turd instead of Slacker to start ... I really need some good titles (not turd!) for members as they progress with their post counts ... Everyone post some ideas in the feedback section plz if you have any .. thanks

Titles
Hey Dax!
I love the site so far, GREAT JOB! You can call me a "Turd" or "Slacker" or whatever you want at this point, at least I know I can post successfully when I try to. The title will soon change, as I plan to be an active member - I'm just glad I had the opportunity to get in on the ground floor! What was the official launch date of this site?
Jim

Hey Dax,
Well, I'm glad to know I (almost) became a member from day one. I think I joined the next day - only you know for sure. I'm sure this site is destined for great things!
When you hold the awards banquet for the charter members, I hope I'll still get invited (lol)! I'm glad to be onboard. May I suggest you start a technical forum for those of us who like to turn our own wrenches??
Jim

Jim, there is a tech section off the front page. If it is not as complete as you like, let me know and we'll work through how you think it could be better. -- Dax

I bet there's already a good technical base with the people we have so far. Just ask if you have questions.

yeah there seems to be a majority who do their own wrenching,, which is ace and to me its another whole side to Harleys thats rewarding and a lot of fun ( sometimes ).. i remember reading a thread on hdf where this guy takes his bike into the dealer to get the headlamp bulb changed,, stuff like that gets you shouting at your laptop
