Well, according to wiki.answers.com there are 868. They apparently got their info from the dealer locator on HD's site. I suppose they entered each state and counted. Sounds like a fun chore!

Well we got ten or so. But then this country is tiny. Driving across France last year I found loads, so I figure in the eu as a whole there's quite a few. HDs are pretty huge in euro land. There's only one HD shop that's just a glorified T place that I know of.
