Cam chain tensioner bad on some harleys?

Hey guys. New here, but I am more of a lurker at this point, and I am hunting my first Harley, I come from the road racing world, so I’m somewhat familiar with two wheeled things. This brings me to my question, another rider told me to watch out for post year 2000 harleys because of a cam chain tensioner issue that happens around 20k miles???

Like most things mate, if the servicing isn't kept up then parts wear out. The cam chains and cam chain tensioner's are pretty robust and I've never had any problems with them. They are pretty easy to change out if you buy a bike thats not been looked after.
