Little advice on fluid changes
Been using the Harley oils from the dealership . But since nearest dealer is an hour away I figured id see what other options you guys suggest what brands. Something I can get at the parts store. I wanna change it all and I have a filter and orings.
Sorry if this has been said before, can't use the search tool on my phone to well.

Mobil1 or Royal Purple. Both options are better than Syn3

Redline heavy duty Shockproof in the trans
20/50 dino oil every where else. Unless you've done gettin on for 10k in which case go with MCV
O-rings and filter from Harley. Change engine oil 1.5 - 2k & filter.

thanks guys, sounds good.
whats dino by the way?
and while were on the maintenance topic. i washed the bike up yesterday. and rode in to work this morning and she feels sluggish on the bottom end. and had a couple higher idles.
dont know if it just started happening or what, i rode saturday with the wife ( no higher idles though) but i dont give it hell wiht her on there. this morning i was romping on it a little and i could tell something wasnt right. seemed to clear up a little but i only had about 4 miles to roll on it before i got to town.
few things it may be?
i live on a dirt road now for the last 5 months. could that be it? clogged filter?
and i just got it painted a little while back. is there a chance of trash in the tank?
anyone use injector cleaner or anything like that or is there a fuel filter in the tank i can change?
i knwo its a lot of ramblin just wanted to let all the factors be considered. thanks

Dino oil is just a non synthetic oil. I prefer the synthetic oils.

Turned out to be water in the plug from the power commander. Damn I knew I was more careful than that. Thanks for the advice guys! Much appreciated. I rode it earlier and all is well. I'm relieved.

Amsoil is great oil. I used it in my last bike. I am going to use mobil 1 eventually this time around since I can get it cheap here. @ jordanball... glad you found the problem with your bike . Redline is great stuff too. Just hard to find here. You can get amsoil here in montana at our local computer store believe it or not.

Here is what I have been using the last 10,000 miles and you can pick it up at any Vato Zone or Advanced Auto Parts and I am sure there are others:
Engine: Mobil 1 20w50 V-Twin Synthetic
Tranny: Mobil 1 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube
Primary: Mobil 1 10w-40 MX4T Synthetic
Oh, and to solve the water problem for good, get a Dynojet Power Vision. Then you can tune the bike yourself, datalog, view live data, no more piggybacking... just flash the computer and ride!

So do you still need the power commander for this to work or can you scrap the PCV and just tune the on board computer with it?

No, the Power Vision is a stand-alone tuning device. You can remove the PCV and sell it.
The Power Vision "flashes" the tune onto the computer. You can either leave it hooked up to view live data while you ride and capture datalogs or you can remove it completely. I personally leave mine hooked up all the time to a quick release on the bars because you can set custom gauges and view things like RPM, Gear position, Engine Temp, MAP sensor, Spark Knock, A/F Ratio, etc, etc..... anything on the computer. It's all touch screen too. I won't even get into being able to tune your own bike and using the autotuning feature, that would need an entire thread/forum but its the best thing I have purchased for my bike aside from my 200 rear tire!
Sorry to jack your thread! Go with Mobil 1 Synthetic, it's cheaper than the Harley snake oil and most likely works better too.
