Default Pipe benders for bars

I dig building bars for my bike but have a cheap ass pipe bender that you have to eyeball on every bend. I want to make some more complicated bars ....what kind of bender do you guys recommend?

Yeah man. The JD Squared ones are pretty reasonable. Not the nicest but they are pretty good. Some day I will re bush mine as they are kinda loose from the factory. That is my only complaint with mine. I have the Model 32. Sorry I havent been lurkin so much lately.

Story of my life, way behind on the thread...

but...

I've been making my own bars for some while now. I've made 'em out of stainless and aluminum both.

I use a regular tubing bender with dies and the whole deal. A cheapo pipe bender would do the trick for aluminum but with stainless I'd think that a tubing bender is the way to go.

Not cheap certainly, but remember that places like "harbor freight" do have such things. They might actually work.

The KEY, the absolute KEY, is to make sure that both bends are the SAME. You know?

hth,

Jimmm
