Rocket Bobs production line :)
hey folks,, ok so the #1 pic is some of the first struts off the production line .. second you see a nearly finished strut on the machining plate,, I got it now so i can bolt up a section of 10mm plate and just hit the button and a few minutes later out pops a strut,, just need to clean it up and then bend it, before TIG welding some doo dabs and piggly wigglies to it..
then its off for powder along with the mini fenders,,

a welder will be our next major purchase as well... we need one, i can not weld for shit but have signed up for a welding clas in may... 12 weeks later i hope to know what i am doing...
we have a bridgport mill and it is rarely used but are a must to have on hand, now that we have the 5 axis CNC it is a bit easier to have it done in Cad and have the machine do the work. my machine stills are very basic, i am still trying to get a handle on the lathe, i am not very good in that respect, but i can rock the mill pretty well...
one of my best friends is a sick machinist, so he usually gets pissed at how slow i go and just does it for me (kind of my master plan) I wihs i was better at it, that is my to do when work slows down this summer and we have rain all day. i have got to get better! i hate asking someone to make basic stuff!

want to jump into machining too... look sick the type of things you can pop out of those machines.. is the math really as hardcore as they say for those bad boys though?

i love the whole deal,, i think i am happiest when amongst it,, welding is pretty easy and a whole lot of fun
TIG is an art form IMO but regular MIG is easy and fast. This new MIG i have bought is a beast ,, cant wait to fire her up monday
