My scary ass trans sprocket mod! I still need to get some sort of abrasive to chamfer the holes. And I'm really thinking about sending it out to have it shot peened. And compulsivly checking it every week when I nut and bolt the bike. Probally 10hrs or so invested. But here it is.

Yeah it will be fine. I dont know why I started feeling uncomfortable about it. According to the manual my xlch came with a 19 and the xl-xlh came with a 20. 73 and later had 21's. I may end up with a number of sprockets and chains to suit at some point. The 19 would turn it into a real dirt bike since the 70-71 xlch trans gears are so damn low. But a 22 or 23 would be better for the highway... I was shocked to find the 21.

Its not stealing man its public domain now! Been around since the era of the first frisco tanks! Makes alot of sense. I still have to relocate the filler on my personal tank. You get a bunch more fuel from the petcock and filler mod! But the petcock mod makes it so the reserve is useless hence the sight glass phenomenon...

sounds great... ill hit you up late this summer then. do the bars and tank at the same time, save bit on shipping it back my that way... thanks man look forward to working with you... this is the project bike... granted work in progress to say the least, still need to fab up the leafspring rear suspension, and get that 21 on front and the 16 hd wheel on back. but gives you an idea. found this tank in my dads attic and played with some powder work on it... when you get it ill have it stripped to bare metal
tank on the back bone
somewhat how i want it to be when done

More radical? Man its pretty out there and looks clean as hell now! But Im sure you will be able to pull off what ever you have in mind! I really gotta play with some tanks soon. I got some stuff in mind! We will see what comes of it when I get going. I know what you mean about rolling dough from one thing to the next. Nothing seems to roll just trickle... But things are picking up some now.
