Yeah, I was plannin on heading over to see a couple dudes that recently moved to the area, and opened a indy shop. One was spossed to be a x Harley tech.
Heard the other day from a guy I work with, he took his early 80's Honda V-45 to them to fix a leaking fork seal. Picked the bike up from them, rode it home, about 1/2mi, and parked it. Next day there's a pool of fork oil under the thing !
May have to tackle the tranny mod myself !!

hey that can happen with forks
i fitted the new stanchions last weekend,, got to the end of the second one and realized i have left a ptfe collar seal off the first one i had done,, had to pull it down again and the deal is the seal that should have been in there is used to extricate the others by using the lower as a slide hammer,, if you get the picture..
so the fcing thing was stuck and took me 4 hours to fix my mistake
and now i bet the fcker will leak as i had to re-use a torn collar
i think there should be a burstin into tears smiley

Yeah, I got one leaking just a tad . Prolly take the entire riding season to leak an ounce, so I'll deal with it in the off season.
I'm thinkin I'll likely have the rear end, and primary torn down to the point, where pulling the tranny, and bringing it to a good indy on Vancouver island wont be a lot more work .

ya know i gotta say i would definitely do the same...
i am just trying to figure out if i want to go to 240,, or would i be ok with a 210 on a 6.5"
i can get that rim and that tire in with no more mods... well mebe a rear pulley spacer but thats easy..
thing is working with the rocker these past two weeks i have been smitten with the 240.. and mine looks like a petal bike in comparison..
sooooooooo
thats why we need to get this whole deal rollin and i need to see how your build goes etc
so help a fella out and get moving twatface

You do realize, going that extra 40mm, is prolly going to cost you a fair bit in how fast you can throw the bike into, and out of a corner, right?

Yup... I'm sure some radical late entries and heavy counter steers should flick it about
I would like to ride a dyna with a 240 first tho. Have ridden a rocker and it's beyond crap ! But how much of that is the raked out front and skinny wee hoop
ya know just taking a rocker off it's stand you feel the diff as it notches at the top and kinda sits almost on it's own
but ya seei am thinking of dropping mine another inch front and rear so handling is gone anyway. Also thinking of a 23 front.
I'm kinda ramblin here ! It is a really tough one, keep it as is and it's an awesome ride or 240 and lower and it would look killer
Just dunno,,,, so for fcks sake start yours !!!

Dudes...you need to go 240, 210 is not an option! We talked about this Pete
Just to compare with the Sporty wide tire kit. This kit i 500$!
Cant be far from Dyna, in required parts.

That Lottemann's kit look like top notch . They even add an extra bearing for the longer output shaft, but when you realize their price list is in Euros , holy shit!
Like their wide fender with the built-in tail/stop light .
Willkommen bei Lottermann's Bikes!

ok, there's nothing easy bout going 240 on a dyna! They can claim what they want, but I'm balls deep in this now, and there's nothing easy about it.
I would suggest anyone who wants to follow my lead, may have friends with a machinist, with a full compliment of machining gear! Otherwise...... Good Luck!!!!
